​Montville Woods Gallery held its excellent Long Weekender event in 2025 where we

showcased local woodworkers with carving workshops, timber sales, woodworking

demonstrations, meet the makers and local artisan made products.

​​​In 2026 we are teaming up with Ben Adams - Makers Design Fair and Barung Landcare - Sunshine Coast Wootha Prize for a fantastic weekend of all things wood featuring competitions, exhibitions, galleries, workshops and timber sales.

​With a focus on Craft, Community, Heritage and Sustainability make sure that you save

THE SUNSHINE COAST WOOTHA PRIZE @ Montvale at Montville

​The Wootha Prize is a woodworking competition with a conscience. It is a celebration of artistic

excellence in timber in the beautiful Queensland Sunshine Coast Hinterland. More than an artisan

timber-craft award, it’s a platform for connection to our rainforest environment and indigenous culture.

Ben Adams brings the Makers Design Fair to Montville with an emphasis on sustainability, craftmanship and excellence. A range of designer stalls featuring local artisans, makers and designers.
